I remember on sundays the 10 am movie was always
classic monster movies and as a kid I had to watch
them! I made sure go to church sat eve or early sun.
This ... was my favorite I would scream with excitement
if it was the movie of week! the movie is just perfect
from beginning to end and plenty of scenes with
the creature even underwater and you got gorgeous
girl he kidnaps! I wanted to cry at the end when he
died. and when I watch now I still do! Thanks for
color version! It's great! Why Universal doesn't
do this and release on DVD is a crime! I'm so glad
there has been NO WOKE CGI REMAKE!

When I was a young man about 13 years old, 1953/1954 I was invited to see this "new special movie" by my friend who's father "worked for a movie company".
...
This showing was special for company personnel. This was before it was released to the public. --- it was "Creature from the Black Lagoon" --- in 3D AND IN COLOR. It was Wonderful. WHY the HECK they only released it in black & white I will never know ! ! ! SOMEONE REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS ONE. But it's all history now.

I may have been 4 or 5 years old the first time I watched "Creature From The Black Lagoon", and I've loved it since. And, I remember crying at the end,
...
and my mom getting mad because she thought I was scared of the creature. But, she was wrong. I cried because I felt sorry for the creature, and that they killed it.
Although I love this movie, I have never been a fan of the other two films "Revenge Of The Creature" & "The Creature Walks Among Us".
Anyhoo.... Watching this movie is always a treat. Watching this movie in color is an even greater treat.
What I wish someone would do is restore the original B&W 3D version, and create a colorized anaglyph 3D version as well.
Thank you for sharing this movie with everyone. It is truly appreciated.
